Underarm waxing is a popular hair removal method that involves applying hot wax to the underarm area and then removing it with a cloth strip. This process pulls hair out at the roots, resulting in a smooth and hairless underarm area that can last for several weeks. Before the waxing process, the underarm area is cleaned and prepped with a talc-free powder to ensure that the wax adheres to the hair and not the skin. Then, the wax is heated to a specific temperature and applied in small sections to the underarm area with a spatula. A cloth strip is then applied to the wax and quickly removed in the opposite direction of hair growth, pulling the hair out from the roots. Underarm waxing can be a bit painful as the hair is being removed from the root, but the sensation usually subsides quickly. After the waxing is complete, any remaining wax is removed with a soothing oil, and the area is cleansed and moisturized. Underarm waxing is a convenient and efficient method of hair removal for many people, as it can leave the underarms smooth and hair-free for weeks at a time.
