A chemical peel is a minimally invasive procedure that helps to improve the appearance of your skin. During the procedure, your specially trained therapist, under the supervision of our nurse prescriber, carefully applies a combination of powerful solutions to the face to remove dead skin cells. This leaves the new skin looking smoother and more refined. There are many different types of chemical peel, and the right preparation for you depends on you’re skin type and desired results. Light or superficial peels usually consist of alpha and beta hydroxy acids such as, glycol, lactic or salicylic acid that are combined to improve the appearance of; Fine lines and wrinkles Mild to moderate photodamage Uneven tone and texture Acne and acne scarring The Obagi Blue Radiance Peel is a superficial salicylic acid based peel and can be used to treat a wide range of skin types. It provides tighter, smoother, brighter looking skin after just one peel. Results are enhanced even more when having a course of 3 to 6 peels usually 2 weeks apart. The procedure is quick and easy with very little or no downtime at all. Slight peeling or flaking of the skin will usually occur around 3 days after the procedure. This peel can also be used along with any of the obagi medical systems to enhance results.
